This is a Yellow/Dark Yellow powder and NOT the BROWN material that is sometimes NOT Tannic acid!. If it is Brown it is most likely a mixture of Tannin extracts or impure Tannic Acid. Always ask for a COA. The Tannic Acid content of this material is 97% minimum. Your sample will come from a new 50 kg drum. For lab, craft and research use only. NOT for food, drug or cosmetic use. Brushed it over some highly rusted iron garden tools, like magic the old rust turned into a shinny dark finish as if I had sand down the rust and painted it with a coat or black paint. If the past, I felt helpless when I saw rust, but now, no worries. This tannic solution would stop it. Pain it with a coat of exterior paint I am all set.
