If any granules settle to the bottom of the pool use brush to disperse. Add the recommended dosage of this product during evening hours while the filter pump is running. Wear eye protection and rubber gloves when handling. I am in no way suggesting that anyone else use this item the way I do. I suggest doing some extensive research for whatever you decide to do with this. You can do great harm to yourself and others if used improperly. If unsure how to use it then I suggest you don't. If you are purifying water and you wish to feel safe, then use water purification tablets. If you do decide to use this in other ways, you best be sure you know what you are dealing with. Filtering and boiling water is just the start when conditions are unsafe. As for making bleach it works great. Store bought bleach has a very short shelf life so I wouldn't suggest NOT storing a bunch back. It will degrade over time and depending on the type and conditions it may only last 6 to 8 months before it is not as effective.
