Review: Amazing how well this stuff works - A German buddy recommended this to me for my plumbing projects and my goodness how well it works. It's not cheap but it lasts, is easy to use, and functional. Amazing, you'd think this would have a more mainstay spot in American plumbing. You will never use teflon tape again on anything.
Review: GREAT PRODUCT! - This stuff is great! I didn't find out I had a problem with the shower arm until the tiling was complete. I used the teflon tape that came with the arm, multiple times. Leaked each time. I really didn't want to pop off the tile or cut in from the back wall. After doing a Google search this product was recommended for problem fittings. Followed the directions as to winding the tape across the threads. It worked the first time. No more leak. Thank you Locktite. Great product!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I plan to use this for my garden hose. Can I use this on the faucet to prevent leak and remove the hose in the winter?**
A: If you have a problem with a garden hose faucet leaking during the winter, it might be better to install a frost-free faucet. There are also winter faucet insulation covers...

**Q: Which is correct? The text description on the page says 150m and the product label says 160m.**
A: Loctite is a reputable company. I imagine that, since it is labeled on the product as 160m, that it is 160m...
Who in their right mind would ever actually unravel the cord and then measure it, I wouldn't want to know.

But, the practical answer for most homeowners is "More Than Enuff". It will last most people for several years. Mostly just use it on Brass fittings, which can be finicky. Teflon tape is all that I've ever needed for PVC pipe threads. My own experience is that It's great stuff, just put it on correctly (wrap it in the direction against the threads-not with the threads-starting at the end of the pipe, don't overdo it) and it will work every time.

**Q: Since you can back off the fitting and not leak can you take a fitting completely off and back on without leaks?**
A: You definitely can, but you'll be reapplying the new tape at this point

**Q: What is the expiry date of this item?**
A: Dear Customer

Each packaging has a different batch number and each batch number has a different expiration date.

Each Loctite 55 Pipe Sealing Thread Cord has an expiration date of 5 years from the date of its manufacturing.

If you will buy from your very own seller named "Krish Commerce USA" then you would get the product with the Expiration date on or after Feb 2025 or as we continuously refill the stock so you might receive the product with a later expiration date as well.

Best Regards
