I didn't have a chance to assemble before the picnic and we were able to unwrap it and snap in to place. The tubes all fit in to each other and the top section with the bucket is also assembled.This tank has a water hose connection. We didn't use it because we were on school property so we had to refill the bucket with water and it worked just fine.This tank is actually a plunger release. The Bucket has a whole on the bottom and a plunger keeps the water in. When the lever is activated the plunger is released and the water pours out.This tank comes with three bean bags and are perfect for the lever. You won't need a big or heavy ball to activate it.We used it for fifth graders and they were pretty tall for this tank. We had them sit on the floor and it worked fine. The kids didn't care and loved getting wet.
