Everything is pre-configured and plug and play. The door bells need to be plugged into any outlets. The push button can be tapped anywhere, no need battery or power line. This is amazing. There are more than 30 different tones. Each door bell units' tone can be independently set. Unfortunately, I didn't find any volume control.
