After washing them several times, they are now more absorbent. They have also held together very well - still in great condition. I would buy these again. However, I still stand by my tag comment.old review: I like the size and color. But they are not very absorbent. If I drip water on them, the water literally just sits on the surface for a minute or so before being absorbed. When I use them to wipe a surface with water on it, the water is just smeared around. I had hoped that washing them a few times would improve the absorbency, but it has not. I can not really rate their durability yet, but they have held up well through 3 washes.
