Once they dried I then used some "3M removable wall strips" onto the cardboard and the wall. It made for a productive afternoon. Although I'd recommend using the spray in a well vented room, as the toxins are incredibly strong. Better Sound For Home Studios, YouTubers, Podcasting, Sound Recording - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71NoDjiXwHL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Would these help reduce noise from my electric drums escaping my garden room?** A: no, will have very little effect. what i would do would depend on the construction of the garden room. if single skinned and stud work visible in inside i would put whats called rockwool to fill voids flush with outer edge of studs. then screw soundblock plasterboard to the studs covering whole walls. then add another layer of soundblock blasterboard but use a sound absorbing adhesive to glue this layer to the first layer and offset the sheets so the joints are not in line with each other. not cheap but would work for most of the higher frequencies, (drums are extremely loud ) then I would add these foam panels to reduced the reflected sound in the room, which will make being in the room more ear friendly. if double skinned basically same idea but you'd want to add a stud work structure to the inner to do as outlined above. if room is double skinned if it was insulated that would also help attenuate the sound. the more expensive solution is as above, but to then build a room within a room, which will get rid of some of the lower frequencies, but only to the point of the frequency length above the distance between the inner and out walls. **Q: Will this stick to emulsion paint and stay in place?** A: Hi, it all depends on what you use to stick them to the wall. We found sticking anything to the foam difficult and opted to use foam friendly spray glue to attach the tiles to cardboard and then used command velcro pads to stick the cardboard to the wall. It’s certainly nowhere near as strong as the first day nor first week. The 4* is largely due to the founder being an example of the quintessential entrepreneur keen to protect his brand and provide a top quality product. The product has certainly improved the sound quality of my videos by a mile. It also does a commendable job or reducing external noise, despite the well established fact that foams aren’t meant to be solutions for “sound proofing”. I’d have awarded 5* if the product had arrived without the revolting stench. The founder suggested that the stock had pretty much just come in, and this might explain why the smell was *so* strong. However, I think this is an area where QA could’ve been stronger. Anyone buying products on Amazon is likely looking for a “get it out of the box, plug and play” solution. The fact that I had to “air it out” was detrimental to the “plug and play” part. The founder’s call demonstrated clear confidence in the product - especially when he “put his money where his mouth was”. I won’t say more since some might take the mic of the offer the founder made, but I trust he understands what I’m on about. It's a revolting chemical smell that's insanely strong. I've read one other review about the same thing which said that the smell went away after "airing" the acoustic pads / leaving them outside.
