I normally wear a medium in most shirts. Small if it’s from a place like Old Navy. Size 8 jeans from most places.I erred on the side of caution with this shirt since many other reviews said it ran small, so I ordered a LARGE in the 466 style.I have to agree that it does likely run a bit snug, but, not so wildly out of the ballpark that you need to go up 2 sizes. Maybe just one. I believe it might just be how the cut is supposed to fit too. I have a lot of excess skin on my arms because of weight loss, and the sleeves fit me just fine. There’s some stretch to the shirt if you’re worried about it. If you prefer clothes that fit tight to your body, order your normal size. If you prefer a little wiggle room, order one size up. If you prefer a tunic style a shirt/dress, order two sizes up, but certainly take a look at their sizing measurements for the style you want. Use the chest measurement and take yours from the widest point of your bust. Easy peasy!This shirt is SO soft. It’s that super soft pre-washed cotton, so it’s pretty flower and thin. Perfect for layering a tank or tee under it. It comes with an extra button. All the seams are well stitched down, no fraying, and the sleeves are cuffed perfectly. The little tab is a nice touch too. The buttons are secure in their holes and don’t come undone when you go to sit or move, so it would work in an office or school. Love this shirt, very comfortable. Not a true flannel, it's made out of polyester and reminds me of children's polyester pajamas that are comfortable and happened to be flame resistant. Ordered this in mustard/olive color in a size small. The body length is perfect. This is a traditional dress shirt length, not a tunic or boyfriend length. The sleeves are 1-2 shorter than I would like, so I'll wear it with the sleeves rolled. The overall width is smaller than a typical flannel shirt. It's not tight (meaning that the buttons aren't struggling to stay fastened), but definitely more fitted than I'm used to. If you want a more traditional flannel shirt fit, you may want to go up a size. The fabric is very soft and comfortable. Slightly sheer (like the description says).
