Round - 16.5" or 42 cm. Elongated - 18.5" or 47cm. To keep your seat looking great for years to come, use a mild soap and water to clean. Cheque the position of toilet tank and lid: 1. I have installed MANY toilet seats in my 68 years, but this is not like any other. Directions for dummies 101: in the plastic bag are two grey bolts and two black wing nuts. The toilet seat cover has the hinges attached. I popped the hinge caps off with a screw driver. Set aside. After removing the old set, put the two grey bolts through the holes in the toilet from the top. Underneath place the black wing nut on the bolt. I could not just screw the wing nut onto the bolt as the nut has a protruding piece which hit my toilet. So I held the wing nut in place keeping the protruding piece flush with the toilet and screwed the bolt with the screwdriver from the top of the bolt so it was snug—not too tight as with any plastic tightening too much will cause the plastic to break. With the hinge caps still off, set the cover over the top of the bolts. It should fit nicely. Place the hinge caps over and rotate to the locked position. It took no force to accomplish this part. Really simple and easy once you figure it out. Instructions would have been helpful. **Q: How large is the "hole"?? I presumed they are all standard, but the one I have now is smaller that before..** A: Seat is 14 1/4 by 15 1/2. Hole is 8 1/4 by 10 1/4. Overall length fr the hinge holes to the front is 17". Hope I didn't give you more than you ask for. **Q: Will this fit a 16.6" X 14" round toilet?** A: It fits the 14" wide but may be shy on the 16.6" , unless your measurement is from the screw holes to the front of the toilet. Then it would be fine. My toilet is standard round, like most are unless you have a more commercial style one to fit it on. **Q: What are the dimensions of the seat?** A: 15" length (from front to back not including the tabs) and 14" width. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 21 September 2025* Perfect! Spent ages searching for a seat that would fit our Kohler toilet and this is perfect, so easy to fit, really good quality and at a sensible price - so many elongated seats were 3 times more expensive. Fast delivery too ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ok *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 21 September 2023* This is a good toilet seat only problem is that it doesn’t fit my toilet!!! I had to move one of the fitting across a bit as it was about a inch to small for the holes..which is a pain in the bum.. it has been very hard finding a toilet seat for my toilet as it’s elongated and to try and find a nice one and one that fits has been a nightmare and having to move these fitting was the only way that I would get it to fit.. so apart from that it’s ok ### ⭐ Poorly made *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 26 July 2025* Seat hinges so misaligned, that they failed to align with fixing position by exactly the distance between the hinge fixing screws. Rather than have the inconvenience (forgive the pun) of being without a toilet seat, I realigned one of the hinges. However, now the fittings are correct the seat is still 1cm out of alignment with the toilet bowl. I should have sent it back. ## Frequently Bought Together - Bemis 1500EC Durable Wood Toilet Seat with Easy Clean Hinges, Elongated, White - Bemis 400TTA Economy Durable Wood Toilet Seat, Round, White --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/120719974-bemis-1500ec-000-toilet-seat-white-1-pack-elongated](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/120719974-bemis-1500ec-000-toilet-seat-white-1-pack-elongated) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
