The patches are very rigid and the shirts are pretty flexible, as we would hope they would be for comfort's sake. The glue was quite tacky, but it couldn't keep the patches on long enough for me to sew them into place. It worked a little better with the jackets, I'm assuming because the fabric was thicker and less given to moving. The glue did wash off of my hands very easily, and on the parts of the fabric that were not covered by the patch, there is no visible glue remaining, so they did get the "temporary" part right.
