## Overview

The Earthquake Supernova MKIV-10 is a 10-inch powered subwoofer featuring a 450-watt Class A/B amplifier and innovative SLAPS technology that doubles output while reducing power consumption. It offers a 12 dB/octave variable filter adjustable between 40 Hz and 180 Hz, delivering deep, precise bass with minimal distortion. Designed for home theaters and music systems, it includes high and low-level inputs with automatic signal detection, ensuring seamless connectivity and superior sound performance.

## Description

Earthquake's Supernova MKIV Series of powered subwoofers delivers an amazing combination of high performance and efficiency. Its brilliant design overcomes the limitations known from conventional closed and ported designs that prevent radical excursion, deep response and high dB. The active driver used in the MKIV is designed for accurate reproduction of bass and sub-bass frequencies. Its thermally pressed poly-ether foam surround allows high excursion without deformation. The Symmetrically Loaded Audio Passive System (SLAPS) lets one amplifier produce the output of two woofers, reducing your power consumption and electricity bill. The 450-watt amplifier has a multitude of user friendly features that put you in control. The MKIV has advanced technology that reproduces low recordings at high dB, putting you directly in the center of the movie set.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is the rms 450 watts or the peak output?I want to know the rms of the sub**
A: Specs say "450 Watts RMS built-in Class “A/B” amplifier". Unfortunately there is nothing in the documentation that mentions peak output. This thing is surprisingly loud for its size.

**Q: Does this sub come with a grill to cover the front?**
A: Yes it comes with grills for front and back speaker. I have 2 of these subs and they are great!!!

**Q: What would you recommend this subwoofer or a klipsh i already have a klipsh towers and large center, but have an onkyo woofer**
A: I have always used Earthquake subwoofers for 3 different setup I have in my home. Earthquake uses SAPS technology which gives heavy bass and is great for action movies. This is powered sub with input and output so you can connect another sub if you need bass to
be coming out fro another source.

**Q: is this dual driver sub**
A: Hi
You can look the specifications up on the internet but no, there is one active and one passive driver.
