I power it with my jackery portable battery and it's a champ. I drilled a bunch of holes in the lid of a bucket, placed the pump in the bucket and then dropped the bucket into the river. I have just left the pump in the bucket in the river and it's performed flawlessly. im lifting the water from between 6 and 15 feet and pumping through 200 feet of garden hose. I planned to attach solar panels to the pump but after trying it out with the jackery I don't think I will change anything up. I have never used more than 15% of a full charge to do all of my irrigation. If the water runs out, it will get hot and shut itself off, but that would not be a recommended condition.
