Review: Great tire for trail and some enduro - Maxxis minion DHF is your default to go tire for trail and enduro. This is the 2.4 which means that it is thicker than your XC tire but still thin enough to help you with a reduced surface area. The design gives super good traction even in muddy, rainy conditions. I have used these for years. The 3c Maxx Terra compound will provide more grip than its 2 compound counterparts and, if you are doing trails more than asphalt, it shouldn't wear off any faster than any other tire. Asphalt does seem to reduce the longevity of the MaxxTerra a bit. If you are more into lifts + downhill trails you might want to look for the 2.5 or higher that will give you more contact area.
