I'm in car alone 90% of time. Best location for me is on passenger floor. Out of my way, yet easy to reach in a small car. The charger is covered with a tacky rubber, which is excellent for driving. It sticks to my floor mat like glue. And then my phone sticks to the rubber charging surface. It does not move at all while driving. It does get warm on bottom, but my mats have tall grooves so it vents. It charges well, but not fast. It is good enough.
