This is by far the best starter stick out there.Pros:The shaft is a tad shorter and the diameter a little thinner to help kids pick up stick skills a little easier. At this price point, you also don't feel bad cutting the shaft another couple inches.The wide head makes ground balls a bit easier to learn.The head is also very sturdy where most other "starter" sticks have terribly cheap, "floppy" heads.Cons:plain white and black.....would be nice to give the kids some options...you can always dress it up with some colored tape.My own son used this for 3 seasons and still goes back to it on occasion.I've also tossed around with it a good amount and it is a quality stick with an amazing price point. I would put it up against sticks that cost twice as much.I recommend it all my new players. I get so disappointed when they go for some of the other brands cheaper models just b/c they look cool. It's not overly short either so I can use it to practice with my daughter who's 9. I like the extra little bit of "give" in the netting, it makes it easier to catch so he doesn't lose interest.
