It is very, very sturdy and can easily hold tablets of all sizes, but it can also hold a phone. Great for kids watching videos in a tent, great for using your tablet in bed, great for an older person with limited ability to hold a tablet for a longer time. Adjusts to all sorts of positions on hard and soft and uneven surfaces. We even used it as a tripod with the tablet on it to take pictures and record video. The legs are sturdy & can be adjusted to fit the height that is perfect for anyone’s preference whether you place it on a table, recliner, couch, bed, etc. this product is great for holding my iPhone 6 Plus with the protective case/bumper still on. However, I gave this product 4 stars because the space between the gap where you place the devices doesn’t fit my iPad Pro or 2nd generation iPad with the protective covers still on. The space could have been made a half an inch wider to accommodate larger devices like the iPad Pro or other tablets with the protective covers still on without having to remove them first each time I want to use it. It is very inconvenient to have to remove the protective cases from our tablets in order to use this product every time. Warning to everyone: to protect your tablets from getting scratched on this product, be sure you use some type of moleskin or fabric on both sides of your devices before you place them into the space on this product. I still love this product & would recommend it for anyone who wants their hands free to relax & doesn’t want to have to hold your devices in your hands anymore while chilling out on your bed or couch or recliner & risk dropping the devices on your face or body.
