Lasko Clip Fan, 2 Quiet Speeds, 360 Degree Pivot, Portable for Office, Bedroom, Kitchen, 6", White, 2004W

I loved the one I bought last summer so much I bought another for the living room. Last summer I purchased the same exact fan from the same seller here on Amazon. I ran that puppy three feet from the feet of my bed right on me as a second fan all last summer and it worked great. During the heat this Spring in the Coachella Valley I ran the fan again for two months straight pointed at me feet three feet from my bed. It worked great and kept me from over sweating. Never showed any ware or tear after 6 months of heavy use and using it again still.This summer I wanted one next to the couch in the living room to clip onto the lamp. It works great just like the first one has so the build is meant to last.. Strong little two speed motor and it's pretty quiet. The clamp works great and has a nice grip so you can hang it onto a lot of different object and in different rooms. Works great next to a bed, in an office, bathroom, anywhere that needs a little extra air flow.So it works great, nice and quiet and it keeps the air flow going plus works great close up.(three feet away)

This is my second fan, the first one lasted about 8 years and it was starting to make some sounds. I knew It was time to upgrade and it worked so well, I got the same fan! I use this on high to blow in cricket bins for air circulation. I have had it hinged on a rack leg in the same spot with the head lowered down and this thing stayed put all these years. It is like a personal fan, very quiet and gentle air flow. It is not going to cool a room but only what is in front of it a few feet. So you could use this in a room or office with people who don't like fans and this shouldn't bother them.

The reason for my rating this fan 4 stars (rather than 5 stars) is as follows:1) It has two speeds. On high, it is not too powerful.2) It has a turn-screw clamp, to hold its pivoted position in place (you loosen the clamp to adjust it, and then tighten the clamp to hold it in place).Although it holds well, if feels like that plastic clamp with its screw will not hold up over the long haul, especially if you make periodic adjustments. Each time you tighten it, it feels like you are that much closer to it snapping or the screw breaking through the plastic. I took delivery only hours ago. So the above is based on a quick usage of the pivoting clamp.I am not referring to the spring clamp that clamps to your desk (or to wherever). I am referring to the plastic knob (of sorts) that you spin to keep the fan angled where you want it to face.The clamp that holds the fan to your desk is excellent. Someone did the right thing. It holds tightly. It has a strong spring. You will need some strength to squeeze it, to open it, in order to have it grab on to your desk.3) It is not whisper quiet.The listing reads "2 Quiet Speeds".The noise level is subjective. It is not loud, but I would not label it as quiet. For the not-so-powerful airflow, it should be a bit quieter. Most people will not have an issue with the borderline quiet operation.4) I am not a Prime member. But I chose the free shipping option. I was in no rush, and Amazon orders usually get shipped within a day or two for non prime order.It took approximately a week for my fan to arrive. No problem.But when I opened the Amazon shipping box, the fan within (in its manufacturers box) was someone else's return. It was clearly damaged and other evidence of a fan that they never should have re-sold to a customer.I still wanted the fan. So I initiated a return, and chose the replacement option.The process showed me that it would take a week for the replacement. Again, no problem.On the day it was supposed to arrive, the delivery got delayed by another week.It finally arrived, and is clearly new and clean. So it all worked out, albeit taking longer than it should have, and having wasted my time by initially sending me someone else's damaged order.I would order this fan again, because overall, it is a good value, and I would hope that I would not receive a damaged fan with a future order.

Excellent value.I needed a portable fan for an extended motorcycle trip that included some non-air conditioned cabins with 110V power.My riding friends all bought battery powered fans. Even after considering the lightweight extension cord I bought, they paid more and had very little air movement with those battery fans; MUCH less air than this fan. They also paid again when they needed batteries after every 3rd night.The cord is reasonably long. The switch is easy to manipulate. You can hang it on a screw or nail and the clamp works very well too. Once mounted, you can articulate this thing to blow air in almost any direction. It's extremely quiet. The airflow is not tremendous but I think it's very good for such a small fan.The ability to fold it up some by arranging the clamp, fan head and swivel post was helpful too. It didn't take up too much space in the motorcycle side cases.For camp use I think it's very good.

Opened my fan today and it was clearly used! It already had filth on the clip and smudging on the front of the fan. The instructions were also thrown in the box and folded like someone already read through them. I didn't want to hassle with sending it back so I wiped it down and kept it. It works well. It blows great and sound is perfect, but like others have stated, the clips that hold the fan to the big clip don't hold very well. It already started to fall because I had slight pressure on it from the side. I think I'm going to go ahead and buy some white duct tape and tape it good so my husband doesn't get a concussion in the middle of the night. As for the used fan...it could've at least been cleaned off and repackaged before reselling!

Para empezar la descripción es engañosa pues el abanico NO es oscilante. El producto viene en 3 piezas: la pinza, el abanico y el cuello que une las dos primeras. Pues el cuello viene mal tratado, como si lo hubieran mordido (ver fotos). Parece de un material diferente y como si lo hubieran pintado a mano. Definitivamente no es de la misma calidad de las otras dos piezas. Lo voy a devolver por la publicidad engañosa y por la pieza rara de cuello que me mandaron. El abanico aunque no echa mucho aire, funciona bien y no es ruidoso.
