Works perfectly *by T***A on March 1, 2015* Excellent product! Works perfectly.. The light is bright, the fans are quiet, easy to install, has a low profile, and you can't beat the price. They have a beautiful, natural daylight shimmer and really make the colors of the corals pop. We love to take pics with the actinic blue turned up to enhance the glow. I have 2 over my 55 gallon. I started with 1, and could have ran with that, but I had low light at the ends of the aquarium. It probably would have worked with supplemental lighting or hanging the unit higher above the tank, but I just thought it would look better.. The corals are looking great! I have had so much growth in the month since I got these lights. In fact, I didn't know they could even grow this fast. My Blue Apple Montipora has doubled in size in a month. Both birds nests have also doubled. The only complaint I could have, the accompanying paperwork doesn't tell you how high to hang them or what setting they should be on. You need to do some investigating online to find out concerning the depth of your tank, and what species you have. You will need to acclimate your system over the first week depending on the lighting your system is already used to and depth. These lights are so bright you could bleach your corals if you start too high. When I outfitted and set up my tank last year I bought a light from Ecoxotic (Panorama 36") 36watt for $269 at the pet store. I was new to LED light systems and I didn't want to skimp. Needless to say, corals were dying and I had no idea why. In this case, throwing money at the situation was not the right thing to do. Don't make my mistake, don't spend $300 on 36watts of light! F.Y.I... You need 1-3 watts per gallon. I also like the timer. They won't "ramp up" but I start with just the actinic blue for the first half hour in the morning and leave them on a half hour later in the evening. I just can't say enough about this light. ### ⭐⭐ The spread is not that great.
