Review: Awesome lightweight vacuum with very powerful suction! - I am very happy with this purchase! I have carpal tunnel, so I was a little concerned about being able to hold up this vacuum, even though it is listed as lightweight. Surprisingly, I am able to maneuver it without any issue. I like the fact that it plugs in, so I do not have to worry about a battery running out. It also has a has a fairly long cord. Part of the reason that I purchased the Shark Rocket vs the Rocket pro, was due to my inability to carry around or handle more weight. Because it is lighter weight, this Shark Rocket has a smaller dirt container, which does need to be emptied after using it on 2-3 rooms, but this is not really a big deal for me as emptying the canister is pretty easy. This vacuum also has incredible suction. There are two section levels, one for traditional carpet, and the other for bare floors or small area rugs. This vacuum hurt my feelings, though. Even though I vacuumed regularly, it picked up much more dirt and lint than expected. I guess my last vacuum was not doing a great job. I also own a cordless Shark that sits on its own base and is self-emptying. It is a great product, but only works on bare floors. It does not work on carpet , which is why I needed to purchase another vacuum. This little Rocket glides easily from bare floors to carpet without issue. The Rocket does not stand on its own in the middle of a room; however, it stands steadily if leaned against the wall. The flat part on the back of the vacuum has a rubber grip, so it has proved easy to stand up, and has not scratched my walls. I am very impressed with this little sweeper and would definitely buy again!

**Q: dusting brush, 12in crevice, wide upholstery tool, wall mount, dust away attachments microviber are included**
A: We have had several Sharks over the years, and just purchased another.  Ours is a Pet model, and only includes the crevice tool, pet multi-tool, and precision duster.  In the manual, on the Available Accessories page, it says that not all models come with the same accessories, and that your box will tell you what comes with yours.  Honestly, we didn’t realize that until just now, because we thought the wall mount piece had been left out, but our model doesn’t include one.  Now, we’ve got to check to see whether the attachments from our last one that died will fit this one!

**Q: How does one remove the hair that gets stuck in the rotating brushes?**
A: Take bottom piece off. Put on counter. Use a quarter to losen plastic screws. Take cover off. Cut all your sons hair off roller (not mine) with scissors. Pull, pull, pull some more and clean as a whistle ready to go. This is the Best vacuum cleaner I've ever had. I like the weight. Convenient filter change. Hangs flat on wall in closet. The fact that you have to lean it against things to stand it up doesn't bother me anymore. And it's so easy to empty. Buying another one and giving my 4 Year old one to my son. Did I mention that we have a dog and cat. You won't be sorry with this purchase.

**Q: I was considering the Dyson DC44 cordless that seems similar to this. Anyone that might have used/seen both see any big difference in them?**
A: You can't go wrong with the Shark Rocket. Best vacuum I've ever owned or used for so many reasons.  I think the Dyson brand is highly over-rated.

**Q: Can you use it as a short hand held?**
A: Monika, Yes you can definitely use it as a short handheld vacuum!  It is modular in design.  Just the power sweeper, the extension pipe, and the power head/canister.  Just plug the power head/canister directly into the power sweeper and you are good to go!  By the way...after you unpack all the components from the shipping carton, it takes about 5 minutes to put together and you are ready to vacuum.  I am physically challenged and I use the vacuum the way I described and I can vacuum my carpets from a motorized chair with no problem.  I did contact Shark and made a suggestion to make a shorter extension to go between the power sweeper head and the power head/canister to make it easier to vacuum from a seated position.  I hope this answers your question.  I certainly like mine!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I really like it !

I got this when it was on sale for $109.99 I purchased it for my workplace to do a few rooms of low pile office carpet and a few vinyl backed low pile mats. I also have one small office with high pile carpet . It’s fantastic for low pile carpets . It removes sand and dirt well. It does equally well on the mats . It did good on the high pile carpet and left nice grooves in the pile ( the occupant of that high pile office likes and wants to see vacuum lines as proof I cleaned his room). I tried it in my pet filled home ( 6 cats ) before taking to the office! My home is 100 percent wood floors and tile . I really like this vacuum. I think it picks well ! It did great removing loose litter , dander and cat hair in my home. It does not blow the debris away it actually picks it up even on the edges and on the front edge too ! Things to keep in mind : * The head is small so you will have to go over areas a bit . * The pole length is not adjustable and I feel it’s quite long . I’m only 5’1 and I feel it’s too long ! While it’s light weight it’s not effortless to use . I think an upright is easier on the arms . * it’s top heavy and can’t stand up on its own . It does have rubber backing on motor /cup do when you lean it it doesn’t fall over too easily . It does require you to be cautious with where you stand it and I feel with kids or pets around you would need to be extra careful with placement . It has tipped over times , has not broken …yet . * The cord is OK length . I would have liked a few more feet . * Suction is very good ! The hose running from the head to the cup is smaller ! I would suggest picking up before vacuuming to ensure nothing large gets sucked up. The vacuum has washable filters , if you notice suction loss , wash the filters ( just a sink rinse and overnight out on counter dry Needed) * The vacuum is strong so the dust cup fills quickly . The cup is attached to the motor head so after taking it off the pole you must drag the whole head ( with cord ) to the trash bin … a bit annoying. * I store this in my locker at work , I just pop the head off and it goes into my small locker just fine . I really like this vacuum and I feel it would be great as an apartment vacuum . For a large home I feel the head is small and will require too much arm action to be useful!
