Review: No regrets - Pleased with the iron. Not cheaply made. Heftier than expected. Not super light, lighter than my Rowenta. Some weight is good. Just right for me. I am a quilter. Review: A steam iron that really steams - For years I have avoided putting water in my iron because of a history of leakage with the various irons I've tried. This one advertised no leakage, and because I am on a project that really needs steam I decided to go for it and get a dedicated steam iron and leave my other iron for dry ironing. The first thing I noticed is that the well that holds water is about 2 or 3 times as large as the well on other irons I've owned. It is a good thing too....this baby puts out the steam! It has a couple safety features like auto shut off if left unmoved too long, if laying down flat, or if tipped on its side. I keep my irons on a serge protector and just turn the power off completely when I am done, so don't really find the auto shut off if it is unmoved a bonus feature. I guess the turn off when flat or on its side is okay, I've never really needed it. Two things I have noticed about the iron and you can decide if it is good or bad. The iron is quite a bit heavier than other irons I have owned. Personally, I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing...I don't carry it around. I also think the added weight might help iron in knife edge pleats and folds, as well as help get rid of wrinkles. The second thing I noticed just recently occured. I am in the middle of ironing several large pieces (think banquet table cloths or sheets), and while I am ironing the red light comes on to let me know the iron is not up to temperature. At first I stood the iron on its end to let it come back up to temperature before I continued the item I was working on. I noticed the red light coming on more frequently, and decided I couldn't keep stopping and waiting for it to heat up. If the temperature really did drop, it wasn't noticeable, because I was able to keep working. I am not sure if it is an issue with the lights, or if the iron can actually cool off while you're using it. For now I will keep an eye on it and will update if there really is a problem with it holding the temperature. I don't plan on buying another iron for several years, but if I needed one, I would probably buy this again. So far it does a good job and I like the volume of steam it puts out. ***Update*** I had a issue with the iron so reached out to the Pur Steam customer service department. In all my (many, many) years of shopping, I don't think I have ever had better customer service. They responded promptly, resolved my issue and the whole time were incredibly professional and helpful. I highly recommend the iron and the company. Pleased with the iron. Not cheaply made. Heftier than expected. Not super light, lighter than my Rowenta. Some weight is good. Just right for me. I am a quilter. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Used and Abused???

UPDATE: 8/28/26 I wouldn't want someone to pass this iron up just because mine arrived dirty and a little banged up, so here's more info. I was going to throw it out but the iron works great. I just cleaned it up with some Lysol and popped the steam level piece back in place and it was good to go. Just like the previous model, the steam burst is perfectly balanced. It doesn't force the iron to jump up off the fabric, which is an annoying issue I've experienced with some other brands. I love that the steam stays under the iron instead of shooting out on the sides. With other irons, I actually had to tell people to move back to avoid getting burned, but with this one, I don't have to worry at all. I am adding 3 more stars because it is a great product and Amazon's customer service is excellent! Original: I bought the previous version of this iron in 2022 and I loved the design and quality which is why I ordered from them again. Luckily, my old iron still works because I'm using it as a backup while I sort this out but I really do need a replacement. I don't know exactly where the mistake happened. KN Direct is the seller, but Amazon handled shipping. It should have been marked as used/open-box, but whoever processed it probably didn't see that it had already been opened and honestly, at first glance, I couldn't tell either 🤷🏾. It might just be a simple mistake, but either way, I'm returning it and hoping for a better outcome with my next purchase. And yes I washed my hands several times and next time I'll use gloves. 😉
