As a professional it is important for me to look well groomed and this press solves the "hanger crease" dilemma while also allowing me to save from constantly running to the dry cleaners. Used to see this all over the big island on the other side of the pond and loved them. desertcart had a good deal running and I managed to scoop this one up at a decent price. They have a good track record for "being built like things used to be.." and is not a quick disposable appliance. It has a great solid construction; albeit the legs are made of a cheaper plastic. The major parts that count (the heating fold, etc.) are all of good solid construction and quality. Debated between this model and one of the more elaborate - but at the end of the day I didn't really need the additional clocks, timers and bells - just needed it to do its job.I Use it daily, I just lay my pants in while taking my shower and they are crisp, warm and have a nice crease when I am ready to get dressed. Which it does perfectly. Assembly is quite simple and I will likely mount this to the wall when I get some free time. Use is simple and as you become more familiar with the way it operates you can use it for some "off label" pressing; I like to have ironed pillow cases and this fits the bill perfectly. Runs for about a half hour, although you can snag the item out a little earlier if you are in a rush. For anyone who wears wool, satin or other fine fabric slacks/suits each day this a must have item for keeping your pants neatly pressed. Heck, I use it for my jeans and casual attire just because I like the warmth and clean look it offers. Electric rates are through the roof in my area (a suburb outside NYC) and it has not created any spikes in my monthly bill and with the savings for cleaners in the end I think it is a good investment. If you research out the brands, Corby is the best choice and desertcart offers some decent sales on these items from time to time. It arrived well packaged and was a bit of a nuisance to get out of the box, but they did a nice job in protection of the finish. It is a bit heavy because the construction is solid. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well if your expectations are realistic

I've been eyeing a pants press since I noticed that I was paying to have my slacks dry-cleaned mostly because they were wrinkled rather than dirty. At $7 a pop a couple of times a week, the cost was adding up. (My wife understandably hates ironing them.) Setup was easy - it took only a few minutes to attach the feet and top parts. As others have commented, the Corby 3300 is fine as long as your expectations are realistic. It's only meant to press the trouser legs below the level of the crotch, and it does that well. Inserting the pants into the press properly is critical, though - you have to smooth out any folds before and after you place the trousers into the press, otherwise they'll be accentuated. The press has a 30 minute cycle, although I often give it another 15 minutes or so. (There are more expensive models that offer additional cycle times, but I don't think that the added convenience is worth the cost.) Some buyers have complained about shoddy construction. I don't believe that the press is built to take a lot of abuse, but used with care, it should last unless the heating elements, lining. or other parts fail. I've used it about 20 times over the course of a few weeks without noticeable wear so far. I'll add to my review if anything changes. EDIT: Almost three years later, I'm still happy with my Corby, which has held up well. For the past few months, I've been pressing my pants when I'm done wearing them at the end of the day and then hanging them in my closet. It's as if the wrinkles have less time to "set" that way, and I don't have to press them when they're needed next. As I said in my initial review, the Corby does well if you have reasonable expectations — it doesn't press pants as crisply as an iron, but it's a lot more convenient.
