Review: Great Kraft paper; use it forever! - I'm pretty sure I'll use this roll for many years to come! I like wrapping gifts in kraft paper with twine so this is perfect for that purpose. It makes gifts look really classy and clean without very much effort. This is way cheaper than buying wrapping paper and is appropriate to use for all occasions and every season. I love this paper! I keep it in the original box it was shipped in so that it doesn't get wrinkled when I'm storing it. I keep it upright next to my vacuum so it doesn't take up extra space. Basically, this is a great, thick kraft paper. If you don't know what kraft paper is, go to a local craft store and ask or try some out. Some of the negative reviews come from people simply not knowing what this was when they bought it! If you do know exactly what kraft paper is (and how it's different from printer paper) and you want a lot of it, then this is definitely a good purchase. Update seven years later: I finally got to the end of this roll. Still highly recommend.
Review: I need a bigger house to store this kraft paper - So I definitely read the dimensions, but I must have a serious lack of spacial prowess because when this came, I was floored at how huge it was. Not that I'm complaining, the more the merrier. I live right next to the hobby lobby that also sells kraft paper wrapping in smaller rolls, obviously, and this is a steal. The quality is great...it doesn't really fray (like construction paper), and it's not overly thick and difficult to wrap presents with. I noticed that some tapes don't adhere very well to the material, but if you use the standard clear "packaging tape" style tap, it works great and hardly shows on the kraft paper (unlike the frosted scotch tape, which looks hideous and is really obvious). I can easily write with metallic markers and paint pens without it bleeding or anything on the material. The only time I might reconsider getting this is if you want different colors. There is white and black kraft paper that can also be really cute as wrapping, so if you didn't want to be stuck using the standard brown one for every present, then maybe a variety of smaller rolls would be better.

**Q: Is this paper thicker than a paper bag?**
A: It is thicker than brown paper lunch bags but not thinker than grocery paper bags.  It is still very sturdy and works great to wrap packages.

**Q: can you write on this paper?**
A: This is brown craft paper.  You can write on it but a regular ball point pen may go through it (make a hole) but a felt tip pen would work fine.

**Q: Is this FDA approved for cooking processes with food?**
A: While I cannot say yes or no. I am going to go with no. I imagine it would catch on fire, if you expose it to heat for a period of time. It is just paper. Like construction paper on a roll. I suppose you could wrap food with it, but I don't think you would want to. It doesn't seem that dust free. All you have to do is smell it or handle it. I think you need to stick with the title of the product, and it is clear it is not for food.

**Q: Would this work for life size paper doll? I want to trace the child's body and cut it out for them to color and take home**
A: Probably  yes, as it is some tough paper, but it is brown and may be hard to color except with paints.

Awesome buy for the price! You can't beat this stuff. Seriously. I used this for all my Christmas presents this year. Didn't even make a dent in the roll. You get a ton for what you pay. I received SO many compliments on this dang paper. It's so versitile. You can deck it out with nice ribbon and it looks awesome. You can re-use it for every single holiday, just switch up the ribbon. You can buy stamps and ink and decorate it (which would be a fun craft for the kids, btw). You literallty can roll it out on the floor and keep the kids entertained for hours drawing. It's thick and sturdy too. Definitely good quality. Buy buy buy this item.
