In other words, a 1/2" punch and die produced a measured hole size of 1/2".This distinction is important as the common application of a punch and die is when an electrician punches out a conduit hole, which is measured by the inner diameter of the conduit pipe, not by the outer diameter of the hole produced. Review: Actual measured sizes - Many knockout punches have tooling that is designed for conduit sizes. That might be fine for most uses. In a fabrication shop it can be a problem. I need holes that are 2 inches and not for 2 inch conduit that actually measures 2.2 inches on the outside. These are exactly what I needed.
