The freezer compartment is quite large - I can fit two stacked ice cube trays and several frozen box lunches and more if I wanted. The only reason I gave 4 stars for temperature control vs. five is there's no way to defrost the freezer without unplugging and letting thaw. It's supposed to self-defrost but I spilled some water there the first day and it's still rock-solid. The fridge portion is nice - had to remove the shelf to fit anything of height (yogurt container) but is plenty spacious. It 'looks' like a stainless front but it's really some sort of a hard-plastic-like finish, but it looks good and will hold up. Some have asked which side the hinge is on - on mine the hinge is on the right so opens from the left but instructions are provided to shift the hinge to the other side if you want.
