This is so nice . Beautiful set up mice inside to put your favorite recipes. I'm using this one to give to my Son after I put all my favorite recipes in it just a great gift idea. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for giving family recipes to the kids *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 19, 2013* When I was in college my mother bought a recipe book that had one recipe of each type and the rest were pages with lines for you to write in your own recipes. That was over 30 years ago and I use that book all the time. The recipes she added were favorites from my childhood and as I found new favorites, I added them to the book. Now that my children are young adults, she wanted to give them the same gift. I searched through Amazon and some local book stores and selected this book to be the closest to what I had been given. The front of the book has an index so you can list the recipes and the page number where they can be found. It is divided up into lots of logical sections so you can group similar types of recipes together (meats, breads, desserts, etc.). The lined pages for you to write your recipes are set up so you have a lot of space to write and flexibility in how your recipe looks. Several books I saw had ingredients on the left and the recipe on the right, which is hard to make legible in my opinion. This book is also designed so it will lay flat when opened.The negatives for this book go back to the index. For some reason, the index is set up for you to list your recipes in alphabetical order. This works great if you just sit down and fill up the book but most people will use this book over time and it becomes impossible to maintain that order. It would be better if the index was set up like the pages in the book itself, in categories with enough lines for the recipes that fit into that category. The other issue is the lack of page numbers. There are no numbers on any of the pages, so what exactly are you indexing? This is easily fixed with a sharpie and a few minutes to go through and hand write page numbers throughout the book.The two negatives I listed are minor inconveniences and overall this is a great way to give something written in Mom's own hand to the younger generation that they will cherish for a lifetime. Yes, you can find just about any recipe on the internet but it won't have Mom's comments written in the margins. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect Gift for My Sister, the Same Recipe Book My Mom Received in the 80s *by E***E on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 27, 2016* I was so excited to find this recipe book available for purchase. I didn't think these books were still made. My sister and I grew up reading and making recipes out of my mom's With Love from My Kitchen (which she received for Christmas in 1986 from her sister).I had been looking for the perfect family recipe book to give to my older sister as a Christmas gift, and I couldn't find one that was similar to Edwards' book. When I was about to give up and just order one of the Card boxes, I stumbled upon this and immediately had to purchase it. I even bought a second one for myself!The books were new and in great condition when they arrived. It was exactly like my mom's book. My sister absolutely loved it as a gift!This recipe book makes a great Christmas gift for family or friends. It makes a great bridal shower gift or wedding gift. It would have also been fun to have people write a recipe in the book for a bride-to-be at a wedding shower.I chose this book not only for the sentimental value, but also because I can't find any other book quite like this one. I like the categories it is divided into (not too many, not too little). I like that it is all bound together (instead of recipe cards) and it is a small, easy to store book.
