My family of 5 played it after Christmas and we had a great time! Lots of laughter and enjoyment - definitely a great purchase!Things I noticed during the game: If you are an adult, you can handle the Commander level - the questions will auto-adjust. We made my dad be a Commander and the rest of us chose Captain, but the questions all evened themselves out by the end of the game! There are special cards that make you either go back or forward 1 space, which is a challenging addition to the game. Also, it took us about 1.5-2 hours to finish the game since we had 4 players. (Side note: since we had five players, two people had to play as one player since there are only a maximum of four players allowed). This was going to be my first gift to her and on her 13th birthday no less. I wanted to get her something educational and fun. What made my search even more difficult was the fact that she is 13 going on 30 and I didnt want to get her anything too mature but not something that would make her feel like i was babying her either. In searching, I stumbled upon this game and although I didnt know anything about it or anyone that had purchased it, the reviews swayed me. Well I was not disappointed. My step daughter absolutely loved it. She spent the entire day of her birthday playing with her Mom and anyone else she could convince to play with her. She thanked me over and over again and said it was great. To top it all off it reached her 2 days after i placed the order with regular shipping. I am an average jaded NYer that feels too cool and too busy to take the time to write a review. This game made me take the time.
