This one is no exception. I'm using it with an NFC-capable smart card for PIV and FIDO2. It reads my card fine through standard badge holders. More sensitive than the other contactless reader I own...I can just throw the card on it and it works without fuss (my other reader requires somewhat precise positioning for it to read the card). I do recommend using HID's driver for it. When using the standard Windows drivers, I had issues seeing the PIV functionality of my card (some software would say the card was incompatible or the wrong one despite the card being fine). Review: Funktioniert mit der AusweisApp - Funktioniert perfekt mit der Ausweis App. Kein Fake Produkt wie die andern Ausweis Leser, die maximal vielleicht eine Kreditkarte lesen können. ## Features - OMNIKEY 5022 ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0753HSL5Q | | Best Sellers Rank | 875,107 in Automotive ( See Top 100 in Automotive ) 368 in Car HID Conversion Kits | | Brand | HID | | Brand Name | HID | | Colour | grey | | Compatible Devices | Router | | Compatible devices | Router | | Connectivity technology | USB | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 34 Reviews | | Data Transfer Rate | 12 Megabits Per Second | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00639399027949 | | Hardware Interface | USB 2.0 | | Item Weight | 0.16 Pounds | | Manufacturer | HID Global | | Manufacturer Part Number | R50220318-GR | | Media Type | SDHC | | Media type | SDHC | | Model Name | OMNIKEY 5022 CL | | Model Number | R50220318-GR | | Network Connectivity Technology | USB | | Number of Items | 1 | | Operating System | All operating systems | | Product Features | Plug & Play | | Slot Count | 1 | | Special feature | Plug & Play | | UPC | 639399027949 | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** HID - **Colour:** grey - **Connectivity technology:** USB - **Media type:** SDHC - **Special feature:** Plug & Play ## Images ![HID Global R50220318-GR OMNIKEY 5022 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/512-RwZ-x3L.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Performs well - much better than off brand NFC readers *by T***2 on 5 March 2026* HID products always seem to work well in my experience. Nur fehlt in der Anleitung wie die Smartcard draufgelegt werden soll.....längs oder quer !! Darum kam anfangs immer eine Felermeldung :) ## Frequently Bought Together - HID Global R50220318-GR OMNIKEY 5022 - HID OMNIKEY 5427ck Gen 2 - Smart Card Reader - USB, Black, Light Gray - HID OMNIKEY 3121 R31210320-01 Smart Card Reader - USB 3. 0 - Gray --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/109339439-hid-global-r50220318-gr-omnikey-5022](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/109339439-hid-global-r50220318-gr-omnikey-5022) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
