Compared to the Restaurant blend the medium- dark roast has a classic New Orleans blend of coffee & French chicory. It doesn't use the exotic coffee beans. **Q: How long is the expiry date after purchase?** A: the bottom of the can shows the best before date. it is at least one year out.this is by far my favorite coffee. it is all i drink at home. **Q: Is this coffee packed in real metal cans?** A: The can is metal with a pull top seal, covered by white plastic. There was a change in the packaging, I don't know how many years back but since I've been buying it. You used to have to open with a can opener. It is still very good coffee. Hope that helps. **Q: Is the grind coarse or fine?** A: It's too fine - about 1/3 of the can is fine enough to either clog a paper filter or go through a mesh filter, which is clogging up my coffee maker and causing it to overflow. Chicory is a root from the dandilion family and has its own natural caffeine and rosted taste. It really balances the cup well. This is from a famous place in New Orleans and you can just imagine how a true cup would be at the place itself and how well it could pair with beignets. Benefits are good. Fresh. As for Durability, idk what they mean but the can is good. Acidity is right. Roast color is nice and medium dark.
