That in itself is strange, because I normally don't use 8.5 x 11 calendars! This one does not, however, have leather front/back! What it DOES have are tabs that don't bend or tear. I LOVE that each month is first your entire month in review (2pages), with 7 lines to input your appts, etc. Then it breaks the month down into 3 days per page, which is excellent for me, due to some overflow on monthly days or to make more important info as well. I use it for keeping track of telephone, email and text message notes, as well as necessary documentation I want to keep date track on. Tons of room for notes which is exactly what I was looking for! As I am a person who keeps track of everything, this calendar has made my life so much more productive! Not offered in my local stores so very happy to find it here! I don't keep a journal but write notes of what happened each day. Also great for keeping up with payments made online. It is easy to see if the bill has been paid by quickly opening the planner to the appropriate month. Lines on each date allows for neater entries. Room for password list on pages at back. I try to buy different color planners so I can tell at a glance which one I need toward the end of the year when planning next years appts. This was offered in several styles and colors in this size. I save these calendars overhear, in case I need to reference anything. they are small enough to keep in my little desk space, yet there is room for writing in each day's space. Also has a large amount of space for important numbers, etc. I love the layout, the monthly tabs and the compact size. Why it got a low rating is because it took months to get it. The company that sent it needs to get their act together. Months to ship an in stock item?
