I was not disappointed! They are metal and are definitely great quality. They were EXACTLY what I was looking for. They match the Tacoma badging well. Not absolutely perfect, but you’d be hard pressed to find better ones. The weight of each letter is about 1-2 oz. depending on letter being weighed. I’ve had mine on for a year and being from the midwest, these have gone through rain, mud, salt, snow, dust, heat, drought, flooding, cold, freezes, humidity, multiple car washes and high pressure sprayers and they still look great!! To respond to the issues on corrosion in 2 months, again, midwest and salt. Buy some chrome polish (I use Mothers in the tub) and use some elbow grease; mine corroded after the snow and salt and they polished out to look new again. Very pleased!Like others, I did not follow the install directions. I actually centered and installed them one by one. The letters have 3M tape. I used an Exacto knife to trim off any overages of tape before installing. I washed my truck and took alcohol on a micro fiber cloth and wiped out each letter on the tailgate. I centered and firmly pressed evenly across each letter. Take your time! I also made sure there wouldn’t be rain for at least 7 days and refrained from washing for those 7 days. You want temps to be in the 80s/90s so the letters adhere. This method worked well for me. I don’t recommend a heat gun unless you’re a pro.Buy these! You won’t be disappointed!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Toyota Tacoma Chrome Letters *by N***L on Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2018* Perfect fit! Easy to install. Only thing I didn't like were the instructions, which you really don't need.Instructions say to put the letters face down and pull back the white paper. The backside of the letters are red. And you would want to pop out each letter, and peel of the red paper one at a time as you stick them in place. Instructions also tell you to pick up the clear carrier at the top corners. There was no clear anything on my letters. I ditched the instructions and used comon sense.Still a great product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Quality *by S***I on Reviewed in the United States on July 5, 2021* I was impressed with the care of packaging these letters the vendor takes. Each letter was coddled in its own foam glove. Another thing that impressed me that they use 3M adhesive. Last thing I want is for one (or more) of the letters to fall off because of cheap glue. And lastly, the letters are made of heavy, thick, shiny metal - not plastic. These things have some heft to them. Good printed instructions, too.
