Easy to setup Review: I've bought 6 so far - 4 in 2022 and 2 in 2024 - Oct/Nov 2022: Just what I needed for our outdoor Xmas lights. I will say that I personally struggled to get them to connect via the BN Link app and Alexa. I got frustrated and gave them over to my hubby to mess with. I will say that I am using an iphone 8 and he is using an iphone 12 so that may be the issue as I am usually the more patient one. He was able to get them to connect quickly with no issues and we have them connected to our Alexa. We have no issues, and they are all working great. Cut to November 2024: We have used these plugs for all the major holidays that we decorate the front of our house for the last 2 years. When we decorated for Halloween, I noticed that one of the plugs wasn't working properly so we replaced it, thankfully we had a spare. Now we have decorated for Xmas and one of the other plugs isn't working, not in the same way as the other one stopped working. This is one of the three outlets of the plug isn't working as it should. If you wiggle the plug then it will work but that doesn't work for outdoor lighting, so I have decided to replace it. Anyways I still struggled with hooking up the new plugs as before, but I think it is more that I needed to make sure I was using the lower Ghz. Anyways, I will say that I am not happy that I am only getting 2 years of work out of these plugs but when they work properly they are fantastic. And once you get them set up on the BN-Link app, they are super easy to get set up on the Alexa app. So yes I will buy again and clearly I have. ## Features - [CONTROL MULTIPLE DEVICES]: BN-LINK Outdoor Smart Plug controls up to 3 devices simultaneously(NOT indiviudally controlled), making it easy to manage your outdoor electronics. - [HANDS-FREE OPERATION]: Compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, you can control your devices with just your voice. For that alone, you should trust the purchase. I had it working for awhile and then reached out when I had another problem that began to occur. They were attentive and resolved the situation. When the device works, it is great When it doesn't, they are there to take care of it. Normally I would not give 5 stars for a product that I've had issues with but rarely do I see service this good. UPDATE: After a week of it working, the app has disconnected from Google and I can no longer control with google. The plug also disconnects from the app in both android and IOS so that I have to keep the app open for 10 seconds and refresh it to get the plug to be seen again. Instructions are laughably poor. I have a house full of smart home devices and this one was the 2nd hardest to setup. It could have been so much easier. First, you have to download an app (smart life) that is good but yet another app to install. The app is wonky during setup and the instructions don't help much. It took me about 20 attempts to get it working but I did finally get it working. It involved several resets and attempts. Follow the instructions as best you can and then troubleshoot your way through it with multiple resets. Once it works, it is good. Setup with Google & Alexa is cumbersome but slightly better documented. If the install were more reliable, this is a 5 star product. The install is really bad and frustrating though. I wish I had bought a different product. ## Frequently Bought Together - BN-LINK Smart WiFi Heavy Duty Outdoor Outlet, Timer and Countdown Function, No Hub Required for Outdoor Lights, Compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant (Outdoor) 2.4 GHz Network only - BN-LINK WiFi Heavy Duty Smart Plug Outlet, No Hub Required with Timer Function, White, Compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, 2.4 Ghz Network Only (4 Pack) - Amazon Echo Dot (newest model), Vibrant sounding Alexa speaker, Great for bedrooms, dining rooms and offices, Charcoal --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/106147438-outdoor-smart-wi-fi-plug-heavy-duty-3-grounded-outlet](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/106147438-outdoor-smart-wi-fi-plug-heavy-duty-3-grounded-outlet) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
