However, after about 5 days the filter started to get louder and louder to the point it sounded like it was going to explode. We trouble shooted for a day or so making sure the water level was correct, there was nothing it was vibrating against, etc. We finally shut off the motor and returned it to the pet store and bought a bigger (2.6 gallon) more expensive tank and it has been great! In order for the filter to work, the water level must be to the top of the tank (about 98%filled or so). The light has 6 different colors, which my daughter loves. the BIG problem with this tank is that THEY NO LONGER CARY THEIR OWN FILTER, cartridge "B". I can not find it any where.
