The handle moulding extends over and around the head, meaning the head cannot be pulled off the handle, even under a 1 tonne pull test. This gives the user added peace of mind when using the axe. Available in four sizes. Box Contains 1 x Cutting Axe Review: Good quality - takes an edge well - Supplied fairly sharp, but I used a sharpening puck to give it a nice sharp edge. It cuts very well, has a very comfortable handle, and seems well built. The only criticism so far is that the paint applied to the faces of the blade is very slippery. This means that when you try to split a log, and if the log doesn't split first time, the pinch-pressure applied by the log tends to force the axe back out due to its slippery sides - the axe metal doesn't grip the wood. I guess this is a compromise as you want the blade to slice through material without friction on the sides. Maybe as the paint wears off this will improve. Review: Very handy - Good little axe. All the weight is in the top so you get a good swing while still being lightweight.
