This is a spray-on dry lubricant. I don't think you could wipe grease off of it. It's also not something I would want around food prep. According to the warnings on the can it's somewhat toxic. **Q: Does is work well on door hinges without making a mess?** A: You would have to take the hinges off and spray them including the pin, but I don’t recommend doing that.
