My second laproscopic (gallbladder removal) hospital did not give me an abdominal binder. I was not comfortable and super swollen and had to carry my belly around post op for 3 days I had enough ordered this and it was PERFECT. I'm 5,4 avg length leg with short torso and this fits under my boobs and above my hips well. I was 176/size 14 pre surgery and carry my mama skin pouch. The size L/XL (similar to what I order in clothes bc I like loose fit) is the size binder that fit me well. I have it double up over my stomach and I pull the Velcro with my dominant side (right) and pull that snug to feel supported (but not too tight that I can expand my lungs or not breath). Yes the Velcro does pull the fabric on the binder but as long as it sticks I don't care and I'm wearing this under clothing so as long as I'm supported and comfortable it doesn't matter how it looks. This by far is the most comfortable, but yet supportive binder out there. I'm able to move and sit without it rolling or pinching me.
