I'll probably hide it away for a while and then bring it back out without the inside cushion and see if I can generate some interest in it.It is very soft and also super-cute, with its funny little carrot top---the color is kind of an orange sherbet color; more on the pastel side than a brighter orange (which I actually would have preferred) so it's not going to fade into the background (unless you happen to have an orange-themed room!) but it is pretty innocuous, since it's just a solid color and not one of the insane patterns that seem to be so prevalent in certain cat items. Overall, I'd definitely recommend giving this a try if you have a cat who is a snuggler--and if it isn't a hit, try taking the inside cushion cat, since you never know what might suddenly make something acceptable to a cat! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent bed, defective cat *by A***Y on December 8, 2014* My kitty absolutely loves things with a roof, since his preferred method of surprising his unsuspecting mousy minions and roommate is to suddenly appear from under things and stealth attack. When this adorable cave bed arrived, he loved the box it came in, but that was about it. He was absolutely uninterested in the cave, and nothing I did could convince him to check out the inside. It has a nice fluffy pillow, which I expected him to love, but he wanted nothing to do with it.After a few days of watching him sleep next to the bed, I took out the pillow to see if he would at least enjoy that. He still wasn't interested in either one, so as a last effort, I tried putting an ordinary beach towel in the cave. I have no explanation, but that caused instant success! He happily sleeps in it every night, and loves to hang out inside, as it's got a convenient little ledge he can rest his adorable chin on.It's very sturdily made and has held up to a lot of abuse, because sometimes it will do something that offends him, and he'll pounce, knock it over, and chew on the sides till he's satisfied it's dead. It's held up to all of this beautifully, although, to this day, he still refuses to have anything to do with the pillow. I'd recommend this for any kitty that likes places to lurk! ### ⭐ Ugh! *by A***A on December 9, 2015* I adored this bed, but my cat HATES it. She wants to destroy the thing! She ended up crawling on top of the bed "roof" and crushing it down and making her own type of bed by sleeping on what looked like a "crushed house". I didn't know that she disliked enclosed beds as I've adopted her last month from the shelter. If your cat doesn't like boxes, then don't get this bed for him/her.
