We bought a diamond drill bit to drill through the tiles, although this is only really needed if you have porcelain tiles but a handy tool to have anyway. If you have normal ceramic tiles then a HSS or masonry bit should be ok, just don't put your drill on the hammer setting else you'll crack the tile. Anyway, the screen is good and includes a nice seal on the bottom so no water leaks out. Once fitted it looks good and adequately performs its given function. An average DIYer would be more than capable of fitting this screen with the appropriate tools.
