It's a very human tale. The emotions depicted in this story from the insecurities of either perspective, the exhaustion loving just about anyone can and does create, to the long lasting damage that trauma can cause, are raw, unforgiving, and heartbreakingly real. I have never read a romance series that encompasses all of the dark, gritty, and breathtakingly beautiful alike as I have in these books, and I am so very glad to have found this series.
