When I came to the U.S. I looked for different brands of mole sauce, some American, some Mexican, but nothing was quite the same. I tried making it myself and we all know how that went- time consuming, burnts easily, sourcing all the chiles was not easy and the cleanup was a nightmare. A friend recommended Nabora mole sauce and as soon as I opened the pouch and smelled the sauce, I was taken back home. I mixed it with vegetable broth and poured the sauce over chicken and also made an oven roasted pork with the sauce (OK, I also used leftovers as dipping sauce for my quesadilla!). This is how mole should taste like, it will literally take you back (or introduce you) to Mexico. I can tell the ingredients are good quality ingredients and flavor is amazing. The sauce is smooth, rich, a bit spicy, it's really well-balanced. Don't think of it as ready-made mole but as an excellent mole base, it has everything you wouldn't find outside of Mexico that transfers well, but missing the fresh ingredients. I followed instructions and did not take any shortcuts. I toasted the mix in chocolate and extra olive oil, added fresh broth, roasted-mashed-drained tomatoes, mashed sweet plantain (I like my mole on the sweeter side). And salt! Absolutely the best quality and quantity I think from what I have found to order online. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free, handmade Oaxacan mole! *by B***Y on Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2019* Good mole! In my area it is hard to find a decent mole sauce, so I was excited to find this. Each individual packet contains a crumbly mix of spices and nuts and a cacao tablet. You melt the tablet in a deep pan, add and toast the mix before adding broth. I added dried chilies to mine for heat and used veggie broth. Once you attain the consistency you want, you can add your ingredients. I found that each packet makes more than you'd think. I made a double batch the first time (2 packets) and it made enough for 18 well loaded tacos. This mole made a yummy base of flavors, but I always doctor a sauce to my taste with extra heat, garlic, etc. I would definitely buy this again! Loved the eco-friendly packaging as well.
