10" long blade made of high graded carbon steel, 5.5" long dark rosewood full tang handle 16" overall length (appox), weighs about 24.60 oz/1.55 lbs with and sheath. Thikness of the blade is about 3/8" inches or 10mm at the spine..
Very Sharp or easy to sharp as its made of carbon steel (car spring or railway track)..
Semi-polished, well water-tempered blade. the sheath is made out of water buffalo hide (leather) dying in black color; covered in soft cotton wood..

This is the current issue Kukri for Gurkhas who are in Afghan war. Therefore the name derived after the Afghanistan. The Gurkhas are deployed since the war started for Enduring Operation Freedom in Afghanistan. The Regiment is decided to carry new kukri fit to the Afghan environment. Therefore the Afghan Kukri AEOF is issued to Gurkhas. It is about 16" in overall length with an 11" Double Fullered (Angkhola Style) semi-polished made of high graded carbon Steel, Very sharp blade. The handle is made of Rose-wood. The shape is different and has finger grip. The scabbard is natural leather which is brown color. Two small "karda"and" Chakmak" are free with this kukri.
