My feet run a little on the wide side, while not always requiring a wide shoe so I was a bit leery but I couldn't ask for a better fit. I had to try out how "waterproof" they were and so I hit them with the hose, socks came out dry! They are warm, so I would say more ideal for a spring, fall, or winter activities. I do live in Wisconsin, and have worn them on a handful of run/hikes and they aren't terrible hot, they do breathe, but they do warm. They do have a semi noticeable sound due to the Gore-Tex but that was expected. These shoes are light, and have great absorption while running/hiking. I have no complaints and would recommend these shoes 100%. I phased out a pair of lower quality asics I had bought 1-2 months previous at Kohls that had a terrible ammonia odor I was unable to remove with new soles and a hand wash/soak. I do wish Asics would've done something about my old shoes being pretty much worthless after 1-2months of use.
