I used this to program a solar charge controller (Texas Instruments reference design TIDA-010042) that uses a MSP430F5132. The programmer connected though USB to my computer without any issues and I didn't need to download any drivers for it. I used the SBW (2 wire JTAG) connection with my board, and only used the TDO, TCK, GND, and VCC pins. The CD that came with it was useless, a bunch of random stuff in Chinese. All you need to do is download Code Composer Studio from the Texas Instruments website and it works with that. Review: Made in China, but works - Works the same as the TI MSP-FET430UIF. comes with a cd that has specsheets, example code, and apps.
