After it's first wash the sheets were covered in pulled threads and in one part torn. They are too thin and can't handle a wash. They were very thin, had the feel of microfiber, not cotton and were treated with something that smelled just awful. Perhaps the smell would have come out in the wash, but I wasn't about to try when I didn't like anything else about them. Have learned my lesson: I'll buy my sheets from a store where I can touch and smell them before I buy. The one good thing I can say is that Amazon makes returns very easy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Happy! *by F***L on Reviewed in the United States on August 11, 2017* I was hesitant to purchase these - I'm a self admitted sheet snob. I figured for the price they were worth a try. I ordered the "sage" but would say it's more of a subdued granny apple green which actually looks better with our bedroom'sbotanical decor. After they arrived today I immediately inspected them for loose threads, pulls and otherwise sub-par stitching and found that they are perfectly made. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the fitted sheet has elastic all the way around to ensure it will stay in place. I immediately washed them in cold water and dried them using my dryer's "cotton" setting and they came out perfect - zero wrinkles and no shrinkage. We have a pillowtop mattress with a 3" featherbed topper and the fitted sheet fit perfectly without a struggle. They are very soft and I have a feeling that they will continue to get softer with each laundering. They are not heavy weight, but also not overly thin --- imo they're the perfect weight, especially if you are hot natured and/or live in a warmer climate.
