You get a nice acrylic type mill, that has been filled with pieces of truffle called petals. It also comes with a refill pouch with 2 bags of the dried summer truffle petals.2. On taking the mill out of its clear plastic display box I can see there is a plastic cover on the bottom, obviously to keep the truffle fresh. Removing it was easy with the edge of a flat bladed knife. I will keep it to stand the mill loosely on but not pushing it fully home.3. I milled some truffle onto a white plate. You can see from the photo attached that you get very fine dust along with slightly bigger truffle particles.4. I tasted some of the ground truffle neat off the plate and it has a lovely mild natural truffle flavour. What I was not expecting and is disappointing, is the slight grittiness you get with some of the truffle - a bit like a few particles of soil were left on the truffle before they were dried. The gritty particles aren't big enough to hurt your teeth but when you get a minute piece between your teeth it crunches half a dozen times and feels odd.5. I ground some on my lunch as I thought I might have had been unlucky to get a gritty piece and it was the same unfortunately. The flavour is mild but good on food.In summary - a good presentation pack of truffle mill and refill of mild tasting truffle that grinds to a fine grade. It is disappointing that I found it to be slightly gritty when eating it.
