One of the largest drives for CCTV systems ### ⭐⭐⭐ HOT! *by R***P on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 15 April 2019* Unfortunately 8TB disk has the highest power consumption 9Watts from all Seagate disks (please check manufacturer data sheet). As a result it gets extremely hot (around 65-70C)! I had to return it because it was making all other drives and the entire home server way too hot.You will need very good airflow to expel all that heat. I wasn't sure about longevity and reliability due to these very high temperatures.I'm using now two others Seagate disks (mirrored) they don't ever reach 40C under constant writing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 8TB disc for hikvision security dvr *by J***0 on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 28 October 2017* Very fast and realiable hard drive.
